Filer Township contracts out for brush pickup to be chipped at the beginning of May. This program is intended to provide taxpayers with a means to dispose of normal yards and not large tree removal. Ads will be in the newspaper and notices will be placed on our website homepage and posted at the Township Hall. This occurs only one time per year. The homeowner is responsible for the disposal of yard waste and branches. Please contact a lawn service or tree removal company.

There are leaf dumpsters at the Township Hall, 2505 Filer City Road, and one at the Oak Hill Park for residents only to use. Please note: Under camera surveillance. Do not put plastic, flower containers, sticks, branches, or garbage in the dumpsters. ONLY LEAVES AND GRASS CLIPPINGS. Biodegradable bags are accepted and can be purchased at a local hardware store.
